Getting There

FORESTIS is accessible through several international gateways in northern Italy and southern Germany. Many travelers from Southeast Asia connect through Munich or Frankfurt, which provide reliable onward transfers into the Dolomite region.

From Singapore, direct flights with Lufthansa offer a practical entry point into Munich, followed by a scenic transfer into South Tyrol.

The route continues by private car toward Brixen, gradually climbing through alpine terrain as urban landscapes give way to forested mountain roads.

The final stretch ascends steadily to the plateau at 1,800 meters above sea level. As elevation increases, traffic thins and the pace naturally slows. By the time guests arrive, the transition from city to mountain environment is already complete.

A Retreat Built on Air, Altitude, and Stillness

FORESTIS sits on a quiet plateau overlooking the UNESCO-protected Dolomite range. Originally developed in 1912 as a health retreat, the site was chosen for its clean air, natural spring water, and stable mountain climate. Those same conditions continue to shape the experience today.

Wellness here is guided by environment rather than programming. Fresh alpine air, steady sunlight, and open mountain views create a natural rhythm of rest. The approach is simple. Remove excess, keep what matters, and allow the landscape to do the work.

ARCHITECTURE:

Property That Responds to the Landscape

FORESTIS combines a restored historic building with three modern timber towers designed to integrate quietly into the forest. Local materials such as stone, glass, and untreated spruce wood define the visual language of the property.

Inside the rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Dolomite peaks at eye level. Decoration is intentionally minimal, allowing the landscape to remain the focal point throughout the stay.

Architecture here is less about statement and more about orientation. Every space directs attention outward toward the mountains.

STAY EXPERIENCE:

Rooms Designed Around Light and Perspective

Accommodation at FORESTIS is defined by proportion and clarity. Suites are spacious, uncluttered, and positioned to maximize views of the surrounding peaks. Natural materials such as wood and stone create a calm interior environment that mirrors the alpine setting.

Tower Suites offer wide panoramic views directly from the bedroom, while Penthouse Suites provide additional privacy with rooftop pools and private sauna areas positioned toward the horizon.

Penthouse

Across all room categories, the emphasis remains consistent. Clear views, quiet interiors, and uninterrupted rest.

FORESTIS Villa is a private retreat set within protected forest on the southern slopes of the Plose mountain. Sitting at 1,800 metres, the villa is surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites views on all sides, with both the house and landscape designated as protected sites. The stillness here is complete and undisturbed

Five individually crafted bedrooms, a private spa with heated indoor-outdoor pool, wine cellar, library and attic cinema create a self-contained world exclusively for its guests.

A dedicated team of personal Chef, butler, concierge, outdoor guide and life coach remains quietly on hand at all times. Every detail is taken care of.

DINING:

Forest Cuisine Rooted in Local Terrain

Dining at FORESTIS follows a seasonal, ingredient-driven approach shaped by the surrounding alpine environment. Much of the produce comes from nearby farms and forests, reflecting the rhythm of the region rather than imported trends.

Menus change regularly based on availability. Wild herbs, mushrooms, and mountain vegetables appear alongside carefully sourced meats and freshwater fish. The preparation style remains clean and restrained, allowing natural flavors to remain central.

Meals are designed to support the pace of the stay. Light breakfasts, balanced lunches, and structured dinners create a steady rhythm that complements time spent outdoors or in the spa.

Slow Days in the Highlands

FORESTIS serves as a base for exploring the surrounding Dolomite landscape, one of Europe’s most distinctive mountain regions. Activities shift naturally with the seasons, allowing guests to engage with the terrain at their own pace.In winter, the nearby Plose ski area provides access to well-maintained slopes that are typically less crowded than larger Alpine resorts.

Ski-in and ski-out convenience allows for smooth transitions between outdoor activity and indoor rest. During warmer months, hiking and mountain biking routes extend directly from the property into forest and alpine terrain. Movement remains flexible, with equal emphasis on exploration and recovery.

BEST TIME TO GO:

Seasonal Rhythm in the High Alps

FORESTIS operates year-round, with each season offering a distinct rhythm. Winter, from December through March, provides stable snow conditions and clear mountain air. This period suits travelers focused on skiing, snowshoeing, and extended time in the spa.

Spring and summer, from May through August, bring longer daylight hours and accessible forest trails. Outdoor movement becomes easier, while temperatures remain comfortable at altitude.

Autumn, from September through November, is often the quietest season. Cooler air and changing foliage create a slower atmosphere that many travelers find particularly restorative.
