Ski-in ski-out from FORESTIS, a full day on Plose starts and ends at the door. Terrain holds enough variety to fill the daylight hours without repeating itself, and a private instructor is available as an add-on for anyone chasing a cleaner line or a faster run. Dinner back at FORESTIS in the evening, the mountain still visible through the windows.

On the Slopes

Ski-in ski-out from FORESTIS means the slopes start at the door. Plose’s terrain runs wide and forgiving near the top, then sharpens into steeper lines lower down, enough variety to fill a full day. Boots on, skis clicked in, and the mountain takes it from there.

In the Water

The spa’s panoramic pools sit against glass, heat rising while the Dolomites hold still outside. Afternoons here run long by design, the sauna and the spa treatment leaving nowhere else to be.

In Brixen

The old town’s market squares and Romanesque cathedral offer a version of South Tyrol that has nothing to do with snow. In December, the Christmas market fills the squares with stalls and mulled wine, stone architecture lit up for the season. A guided walk covers the essentials without rushing them, a short drive from FORESTIS.

What makes this journey different?

Winter here means snow on Plose and clear cold air over the valley. December through February holds the most reliable conditions for skiing, with the spa’s pools offering a warm counterpoint on any given afternoon.

FORESTIS is around three hours and a half from Munich Airport and Milan Airport, both via the Brenner Pass. Innsbruck Airport is the shortest transfer, at just over an hour. Brixen train station, on the main line linking Munich, Innsbruck, and Verona, is twenty minutes from the door.

Most Dolomites trips ask you to choose between skiing and stillness. FORESTIS holds both in the day, Plose in the morning and panoramic pools by afternoon, with Brixen’s old stone town as the change of register in between.
